SGS conducts pipeline welding inspection for SEPTA

DUE TO ITS excellent reputation for professional and reliable Pipeline Welding Inspection, SGS Industrial Services was awarded the contract to provide independent welding inspection for a new 60km pipeline project in Nigeria by SEPTA Energy Limited. To assure the integrity and reliability of the welds during the pipelines installation, SGS is conducting Radiographic Testing using X-ray crawlers. SEPTA Energy Limited is a Nigerian subsidiary of the Seven Energy Group, an independent gas development and production company. The main focus of SEPTA is the supply of gas for the domestic market in Nigeria. For this reason, SEPTA has recently invested US$420 mn in the development of two main gas fields and in the construction of a 60km long gas pipeline in Nigeria for the delivery of gas to the Ibom Power Plant.
