Wiley Journals map contents for ArcGIS, Petrel, Google Earth

A deal between publishers Wiley and Elsevier sees over 100,000 maps from the former's journals geotagged and embedded into the latter's Geofacets mapping platform. The deal includes geology, petroleum geoscience, geophysical and other maps from Wiley's 26 journals published on behalf of society partners such as the American Geophysical Union. It is anticipated that by year end 2015, the Geofacets' content portfolio will extend to over 500,000 maps extracted from almost 200,000 associated articles.
