Naryan-mar:a town beyond the arctic circle

Everything included in a brief account of this northern town is unique for Russia.Naryan-Mar,in the language of the local Nenets people,means Red City.This name,so unusual for the endless snow-white spaces of the Far North,is understandable when you consider that the first houses were built here in the 1930s,during the first decades of the new Soviet order.
