摘要

It is easy to be an 'I told you so' armchair cynic after considering what all happened at the Paris conclave and hours thereafter. However, I would like to avoid that temptation just yet. There were just two individuals that stood out and raised more optimism on the outcome of the summit than all other world leaders put together. They were US President Obama and Indian PM, Narendra Modi. One, because he represents arguably, the biggest culprit responsible for the global plight as of today, and the other as he represents a developing nation with a Hobson's choice on arresting the rot. America as the de-facto global superpower morally owes it to the world to hurt itself in course correction and India being presently billed the world's third largest polluter is expected to do the same looking at the future.
