Falklands explorer Rockhopper Petrole- um said Wednesday that its third explo- ration well in the North Falkland Basin, Ernest, failed to find oil. Despite the set- back, however, the London-listed firm re- mains bullish about its earlier “transfor- mational” Sea Lion discovery, with esti- mates that the well could yield up to 242 million barrels of recoverable oil.
