A wide-ranging coalition of maritime organizations representing shipping interests and ordinary seafarers alike has banded together to press for a crackdown against Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean, criticizing a lack of "political will" on the part of governments to tackle what it called a "crisis caused by steadily increasing, seemingly unstoppable, piracy."
