Battle lines are being drawn in the US Senate over plans by the Obama administra- tion to regulate carbon dioxide emissions. Senate Republicans are threatening to force a vote as early as next week blocking the Environ- mental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulat- ing heat-trapping emissions for one year and adopting a formal Senate resolution to block the EPA from issuing climate change regulations.
