US Legislators Press Repsol to Drop Plans to Drill Offshore Cuba

A group of 34 members of the US Con-gress have sent an open letter to Repsol YPFthreatening the Spanish company with pos-sible civil or criminal action in the US if itcontinues with its plans to drill off the coastof Cuba.Repsol is leading a consortium that plansto drill a deepwater exploration well in theStraits of Florida, about 45 miles from KeyWest. Drilling is expected to start by the endof this year.
