Aiming for success in its third postwar ten- der, Iraq has further sweetened commercial terms in the final contract it has just released for three gas fields up for auction on Oct. 1. A lack of interest had already forced Bagh- dad to drop demands for signature bonuses, push back its gas tender by a month and of- fer the possibility of exporting 50% of the output from the fields.
