China's apparent oil demand rose 14.9% year-on-year in November to 9.48 million barrels per day, lifted by strong demand for gas oil. Based on calculations by Oil Daily, last month's average was the highest-ever - although that is hardly surprising, given that new production and import records are being set almost every month. The figure for overall apparent oil demand is arrived at by adding refinery throughput to net imports of oil products.
