Shell's Sales to Iran Could Clash With US

Royal Dutch Shell could potentially invite a backlash from US lawmakers by resuming shipments of gasoline to Iran after a gap of more than six months. According to shipping and trading sources in the Mideast Gulf, Shell delivered three 30,000-ton gasoline cargoes to Iran's main Mideast Gulf port of Bandar Abbas in May. These are the first cargoes since the Anglo- Dutch supermajor halted sales last October because of growing political pressure from the US.
