A bomb exploded next to a convoy carrying Britain’s ambassador to Yemen in the capital Sana on Monday — but the diplomat escaped unhurt, the British government said. “We can confirm that a suspected suicide bomber detonated a bomb beside the ambassador’s car on his way to the embassy this morning,” said a statement from the UK’s Foreign Office. The UK said that nobody in the convoy was hurt and there were no British national causalities. The embassy will remain closed, it added.
