Peru to Modernize Refinery

Peru’s government said Wednesday it has officially signed a contract with Spain’s Tec-nicas Reunidas for the modernization of its Talara refinery. The modernization of the refinery, run by state-owned Petroperu is set to cost up to $1.3 billion, and should be completed in December 2015, or early 2016, a Petroperu spokesman said.
