Jubail Refinery Gets Funding

Saudi Aramco and France's Total have nailed down $8.5 billion of debt financing from international and national lenders for their 400,000 b/d joint venture Jubail refinery. The companies secured financing for the $9.6 billion complex from several sources, including a combined $4.01 billion from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and from Korean, Spanish, Japanese and French export credit agencies, according to a statement released by the companies at the end of last week. The remaining $4.49 billion comes from commercial financial institutions.
