France's Total has acquired a 60% inter-est in the deepwater CI-100 license off-shore Cote d'Ivoire from local group Yam's Petroleum. The license is located right on the mar-itime border with Ghana, where high-pro-file discoveries in the offshore have turned it into one of the most exciting prospects worldwide. Yam's will retain a 25% interest in the license, with Cote D'Ivoire's national oil company, Petroci, holding the remain-ing 15%.
