In 1947, predecessors of the Andrews grant an easement to predecessors of Columbia to install a pipeline underneath their land and to maintain, operate, repair and/or replace the pipeline. Columbia's predecessor installed two pipelines, one a 16-inch line and the other a 24-inch line, running parallel to its other about 30 feet apart. In 2004, Columbia informs the Andrews that they plan to cut down a stand of mature pine trees that are within 25 feet of the center line of each pipe.
