Bangladesh Offers 12 blocks for Explortion in Bay of Bengal-I: Can OVL make an Entry?

The Bangladesh government has finalized 12 hydrocarbon blocks for exploration of oil and gas in the Bav of Bengal for next round of bidding. These blocks include 9 shallow-sea blocks and 3 sea blocks. This has presented overseas arm of ONGC, OVL, with an unique opportunity to make an entry in exploration activities in Bangladesh. India's participation in the oil and gas sector in Bangladesh has so far been only minimal.
