Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports to Asia have been falling amid rising competition from other exporting countries. At the same time, Asia's oil demand is growing more slowly than in previous years. Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia's other main market, the US, the demand for imports of crude oil is falling as production there goes on rising. Nor is there much hope of any new demand in Europe, where oil consumption continues to fall in most countries.
