Shtokman Project:Monitoring the Environment

With the Shtokman project, environmental monitoring is of particular importance - the project itself is a pivotal development on high-latitude shelf exploration, and, accordingly, entails high environmental risks. They stem primarily from the difficult environmental and climate conditions of the project, as well as from environmental limitations due to fragility of marine ecosystems and presence of several rare, as well as commercial species of flora and fauna. Also, Shtokman project is located in the area of heavy navigation and concentration of Russian Navy.
