Energy companies predict litigation uptick in 2010

Energy companies foresee increased litigation in 2010, according to Houston-based Fulbright & Jaworski LLP's recent Litigation Trends energy industry survey, its sixth survey of senior corporate counsel in the U.S. and U.K.The energy industry accounts for 16% of total participants in the survey. U.S. respondents comprise 70% of the energy sample, U.K. respondents 27% and other jurisdictions, 3%.
