Oil patch deal makers are likely to be busy in 2015 —once they get over the shock of plummeting prices, that is. In the short term, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity has been paralyzed by one of the least stable markets in recent memory. Alan Tambosso, president of Sayer Energy Advisors, writes in the Daily Oil Bulletin that few in the industry can recall ever being faced with the current mix of "pervasively low natural gas prices, low oil prices, disinterested equity markets, increased corporate debt levels, pressure from activist groups and negative government intervention."
