IDAS: intelligent distributed acoustic sensing systems are new for a variety of well surveillance applications.iDAS technology combines with its developer's Ultima DTS distributed temperature sensor for distributed flow metering, distributed seismic imaging, fracture mapping, and well integrity monitoring.iDAS enables high quality digital recording of acoustic waves at every point along many kilometers of optical fiber cable up to frequency >100kHz with a wide dynamic range (>90dB).
