World Oilseed Supplies Set to Increase by 31-32 Mn T, But Weather Is Still a Major Unknown

In our second forecast on world production we have made downward revisions for groundnuts and cottonseed and slight upward revisions for soybeans, sunflowerseed and rapeseed. We now peg world production of 10 oilseeds at 510.7 Mn T next season, 15.0 Mn T more than in 2013/14 and even 45.2 Mn T above 2012/13. With carry-over stocks comparatively high at 88.4 Mn T, world supplies of 10 oilseeds are set to reach 599 Mn T next season, 31.5 Mn T more than in 2013/14.
