Diesel Spill Mars Mill Creek Township,Ohio

On Wednesday,27 February 2008,a local resident reported a spill on Mill Creek,a tributary of the Walhonding River,in Coshocton County,Ohio (USA).The local Hazardous Materials Team responded,and found that approximately 1,500 gallons (35.7 barrels) of diesel fuel had been spilled and then carried by a small tributary into Mill Creek.The spill originated when a 3,000-gallon above ground storage tank was damaged during an onsite move at a local business,Miller's Sawmill.The sawmill has hired SUNPRO Inc.to manage the remediation efforts.
