Rutter Technologies to Launch Oil Spill Detection and Small Target Detection Systems at OTC

Rutter Technologies, based in St. John's, NL, will be launching its Oil Spill Detection and Small Target Detection Radar Systems at OTC (Offshore Technology Conference) in Houston in May of this year. Rutter's inherent strength in radar processing is obvious from the high resolution images offered by its existing radar products. The Company is leveraging this core strength to offer new products targeted specifically at the Oil and Gas industry. The systems were trialed in Norway over the past two years, and they simply do a better job of eliminating clutter and seeing targets/spills across a broader range of sea states and weather conditions than competing solutions. Thanks to their unique motion compensation approach, the systems work as well from a moving vessel as they do from a fixed platform.
