摘要

Fullerene derivatives containing reactive functional groups are more promising than parent C_(60) and C_(70) molecules for the preparation of new materials and biologically active compounds [1]. A furan ring can be fused to fullerene C_(60) via [~(2+)3]-cycloaddition of β-di-ketonates or β-ketoesters [2]. Fused furan derivatives of C_(70) have not been reported so far. In the present communication we describe for the first time the synthesis of 4'-acetyl-5'-methylfurano[2',3':7,8]-(C_(70)-D_(5h(6)))5A(6))[5,6]fullerene (I) by reaction of C_(70) with metal acetylacetonates.
