摘要

The morphology of destruction at various faces of the BaC2O4 center dot H2C2O4 center dot 2H(2)O crystal during its dehydration was studied. An analysis of the reaction-related deformation of the structure made it possible to account for the morphology and anisotropy of destruction at various faces and the effect of water vapor pressure on the scale of destruction. Criteria for identifying planes along which destruction should occur during the reaction were inferred. That the scales of destruction for the (100) and (110) faces differ was explained by the anisotropy of the deformation of the structure during the reaction, while an increase in the scale of destruction in the presence of water vapor was attributed to a decrease in the volume shrinkage.
