Since the beginning of the last decade, the Qatar gas industry witnessed rapid developments, which led Qatar to take a leading role in international gas trade, and industries related to natural gas. Qatar has taken a strategic decision, since that time to focus on investment in the gas sector, and develop the North Field, part of a strategy by H.H the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, to optimize the exploitation of this wealth, and to support the economy. The projects were initiated in the State of Qatar gas project called the North Field goal to provide the existing industries in the Mesaieed industrial city natural gas, as well as injection wells, oil field dokhan.
