摘要

In the paper the numerical analysis of the effect of shape and geometry of the impressions on the kinematics of metal flow in the process of forging of the axial-symmetric forgings on crank presses has been shown. Optimal shapes and dimensions of the roughing passes have been searched, to provide proper filling of the finishing pass and obtain the high quality forgings. The calculations were performed with use of the Authors' EEM computer program "Splen-s". The theoretical data were verified experimentally under the industrial conditions.
