World production and consumption of seramic tiles

CERAMIC WORLD REVIEW is once again publishing its customary survey of world production, consumption, exports and imports of ceramic tiles in 2008. As expected, 2008 brought the first real slowdown in the world tile industry. The growth rates slowed sharply compared to those of past years. At almost 8.5 billion sq.m, global production saw a timid 3.5% increase on 2007 compared to average annual growth of 7.3% over the previous five years.
