A cost efficient manufacturing of profiles for the automotive industry requires a process of continuous extrusion and vulcanization in-line. This paper will deal with the manufacturing of complex profiles used as sealing components for automotive and industrial applications. Rubber profiles are employed as sealing components in the automobile industry, between fixed and movable body parts such as windows, doors and the boot (trunk) and also for similar functions in industrial applications and the building industry as window door seals.
