Taiwanese Tire Companies Plan for Mainland China Demand Growth

Taiwanese tire manufacturers including Cheng Shin, Kanda, Nankang, Hwa Fong and Federal Corp. are adding capacity in expectation of more orders from mainland China, China Economic News Service reported. According to the Taiwan-based news service, automobile tire demand is expected to soar in China, with forecast growth rates of12.3 percent this year and 14.4 percent in 2013.
