Global rubber consumption likely to dip in 201 0: IRSG

The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) has revised its forecast for global rubber consumption downward due to uncertainties in the world economy such as the euro-zone debt crisis. The IRSG revised its forecast for natural rubber consumption in 2010 down to 10.2 million metric tons, from a projection earlier this year of 10.4 million tons. The new forecast is 8.6% higher than last year's actual consumption.
