ENRC CUTS Q4 FERROALLOY OUTPUT 22 percent, UPS ALUMINA 2.3 percent

Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) reduced ferroalloy production 22 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2008 but increased alumina production 2.3 percent, the London-listed Kazakh miner said in a press release on February 4. Ferroalloy production, not including by ENRC's Russia-based Serov Ferroalloy Plant or the share in production by China's Tuoli, fell 34 percent to 346,000 tonnes, including a 23.8 percent-drop to 224,000 tonnes for ferro-chrome.
