Metalloinvest, Mechel plants reduce steel output 1-7% in Jan-Oct

Production of finished ferrous rolled products in the first ten months of 2011 declined at the steel plants of the Metalloinvest group and at Mechel's Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (ChMK), the Economic Development Ministry reported, citing the latest data from the country's steel companies. Metalloinvest's Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant and Ural Steel reduced production of rolled products by 1.2% and 7% respectively, to 2.279 million tonnes and 1.817 million tonnes. ChMK decreased rolled products output by 4.5% to 2.363 million tonnes.
