摘要

We study a heat transfer process in the compact heat exchanger in the case of evaporation cooling. We describe an air-to-liquid heat exchanger under investigation, operating parameters and a calculation model. The results of studying the influence of temperature and moisture content of scavenging air on the heat exchanger operation efficiency are presented. Some conclusions are drawn regarding a mechanism of increasing the efficiency of the heat transfer process. In the contemporary self-contained cooling systems air cooling devices (ACD) are used. In a number of cases to improve efficiency of air cooling devices, it is necessary to take recourse to evaporation cooling (EC), that is, injection of water droplets into a cold duct. By the present time, heat transfer in the channels of large equivalent diameters and with a large dispersed droplet flow has been studied in detail. As applied to compact heat exchangers, the efficiency of evaporation cooling has not been adequately explored. The objective of this paper is to study the EC influence on heat transfer and efficiency of the compact heat exchanger operation.
