Anglo Platinum will increase its stake in a joint venture with Eurasia Mining that is searching for platinum group metals on the Kola Peninsula to 60 percent in the third quarter of 2008, Eurasia Mining said in a statement on September 29. Eurasia Mining has a joint venture with Anglo Platinum that covers the Monchetundra, Volchetundra and West Imandra properties on the Kola Peninsula. The licenses for the fields belong to two companies in which Eurasia owns 20 percent and Urals Alluvial, a Eurasia-Anglo Platinum joint venture, owns 80 percent .
