Russian Aluminum is predicting that aluminum will be going for at least 2,500 dollars but closer to 2,600 dollars per tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME) before this year is out, the company's director for capital markets, Oleg Mukhamedshin, said during a conference call. RUSAL was predicting aluminum would cost over 2,700 dollars/tonne by the end of the first quarter. The average weighted premium to LME prices for RUSAL in H1 grew 64% to 154 dollars per tonne in the first half, the company's H1 report to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) says.
