I have been in ceramics for some time, but officially launched my practice after studying for an MA in Contemporary Crafts in 2012. My work includes the making of handbuilt objects and thrown vessels in terracotta, porcelain and mixed-media. I think my past role in film archives has a strong influence on the pieces I produce, many of which are inspired by the idea of collections and stories. My 'curious utensils', as I call them, are often combined with found objects, which have their own history and story to tell. These pieces aim to trigger memories, or hint at some mysterious origin.
