CONSTRUCTION SAFETY AND HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE DISCUSSES SUCCESSES.FRUSTRATIONS

Members of the silica,noise and trenching work groups of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) called their recent meetings productive,but complained that because no OSHA officials were in attendance,some of their questions went unanswered.Scott Schneider,co-chair of the three work groups and the director of safety and health at the Laborers' Health and Safety Fund of North America,said there was a good exchange of information at the work group meetings,but added,"It's a little disappointing that OSHA sent no one from the health standards office."
