This paper summarizes the results of an investigation of the amenability to concentration of a number of ores from deposits in Siberia, the Primor'e and Priamur'e areas, and the Baikal-Amur Railroad corridor, which are important for expanding the nation's raw materials base; this is particularly true of the lode ores from the Bol'shoi Seiim, Khalovo, and Koksharovsk deposits and the disseminated titanomagnetite ores from the Khalatyr, Verkhne Timan, and Cholganskoe deposits. Amenability to concentration was studied by the standard procedure [1], taking into account the multipurpose character of feed utilization and employing both traditional and up-to-date analysis methods; our investigations provided for study of the proximate composition of the initial products and titanomagnetite monofractions, determination of degree of dissemination and required fineness of grinding, experiments on mineral separation and production of identical concentrate types, and calculation of a metals balance consistent with recommended concentration schemes.
