摘要

An experiment on vacuum-arc remelting of a steel-alloy electrode 380 mm in diameter in an ingot 465 mm in diameter was conducted at the Verkhnyaya Salda Metallurgical Production Association under industrial conditions. A statistical model of the variation in the arc drop as a function of the length of the relaxation process of ionization is developed. The proposed model may be used for optimal control of the process of vacuum-arc remelting.
