COMPLEX ORE PROCESSING AT THE YAROSLAVL INTEGRATED MINING AND CONCENTRATION WORKS

The technique currently used in beneficiation of multicomponent ores of the Vosnesensk deposit that are difficult to beneficiate (as a consequence of the fine interpenetration of the minerals) produces only a fluorite concentrate. All the other valuable elements (beryllium, lithium, rubidium, cesium) are lost with the tailings of fluorite flotation. Dump hills encircling the town of Yaroslavl, polluting the environment, and taking up land that could be used for farming have formed in the years during which the Yaroslavl Integrated Mining and Concentration Works has been in operation.
