摘要

Experiments on a new technique for the electromagnetic-acoustic inspection of pipe are reported. It is established that the technique can be used for the simultaneous detection of defects on the inner and outer surfaces of pipe, along with internal defects. Defects are reliably determined to depths of more than 0.2 mm on oxidized and rusted surfaces with nicks, wrinkles, dents, etc.
