Complexes of Cerium(III), Neodymium(III), and Samarium(III) Nitrates with 2,3-Bis(diphenylphosphine)quinoxaline Dioxide and Triphenyl-N-(diphenylphosphoryl)phosphinimine

摘要

The 1 : 2 and 1 : 3 (metal: ligand) complexes of 2,3-bis(diphenylphosphine)quinoxaline dioxide (L~1) and triphenyl-N-(diphenylphosphoryl)phosphinimine (L~2) with cerium(III), and samarium(III) nitrates are synthesized. Their structures are studies by IR spectroscopy, ~(31)P NMR, and X-ray diffraction. In all complexes, the ligands are coordinated through the P=O groups, and the L~1 ligand is characterized by the chelate coordination with the metal. The behavior of the complexes in solutions of CHCl_3 and CH_3CN is studied. The structure of the [Nd(L~1)_2(NO_3)_2(H_2O)]~+NO_3~- centre dot 1.5EtOH complex is studied by X-ray diffraction. The crystals are monoclinic: at 110 K, a= 12.176(5) A, b= 14.484(5) A, c= 18.857(7) A, beta= 94.397(8) deg, V= 3315(2) A~3. The coordination polyhedron of neodymium, [NdO_9], is formed by the oxygen atoms of four P=O groups of two L~1 ligands, two bidentate NO_3 groups, and a water molecule.
