It is now eighteen months since I left the Royal College of Art in London. After experiencing such a stimulating and fast moving environment with its often overwhelming sense of opportunity, the contrast of life in the outside world was striking.I left college, as I expect many people do, feeling that my ideas had only just begun to develop. Luckily I could keep the momentum going because I had taken on a studio a few months earlier. At the time I thought it crazy to be paying for a space that I never used but I now realise it was an important move. As soon as the final show was dismantled I moved straight into the studio and began work.
