摘要

The structure of the chelate ZnL9 (L is the anion of 2-phenylaminomethylphenol) is redetermined. The Zn atom is bound to a slightly distorted tetrahedron of two O atoms and two N atoms of two bidentate chelating ligands L (av. Zn-O, 1.911 A; Zn-N, 2.009 A). The complex molecules pack into supramolecular assemblies (dimers, chains, and layers) due to percent- percent stacking interaction. The layers are held together by numerous vaguely oriented van der Waals forces.
