Reactions of Trimethylsilyl Esters of Trivalent Phosphorus Acids with 3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoyl Chloride

Various derivatives of substituted hydroxymefhyl-enediphosphonic acids are good complexones and are widely used in medicine[1].In this study we showed that the reactions of trimethylsilyl esters of trivalent phosphorus acids with readily available 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoyl chloride A[2]yield new diphosphorylated hydroxymethylene derivatives containing a sterically hindered phenolic fragment.
