Metronidazole Associates and Complexes

摘要

Complex formation of Metronidazole [2-(2-methyl- 5-nitro-lH-imidazol-l-yl)ethanol] with polyvinylpyr- rolidone (PVP) or poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) leads to compounds possessing antibacterial properties [1]. While studying rheological behavior of dilute aqueous solutions of PVP (PAA)-Metronidazole mixtures with an overall reactant concentration of 2 g 1~(-1),the relative viscosity was found to depend on the composition.
