Radical Cations from Pyridine N-Oxides and Lead Tetraacetate

摘要

One-electron oxidation of pyridine N-oxides with lead tetraacetate gives N-oxide radical cations. In the presence of atmospheric oxygen, the latter oxidize cyclohexane to cyclohexanone.
